ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DIVISION OF EPIDEMIOLOGY & COMMUNITY HEALTH, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Drissa Toure is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He is a trained physician, behavioral scientist, and maternal and child health expert with research interests in examining and reducing disparities for underserved communities. He recently joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota after working at the University of Nebraska Medical Center – Center for Reducing Health Disparities on community-based interventions to optimize early childhood education and development in underserved communities. He conducts evaluations and develops community-based participatory programs to improve healthcare access for disadvantaged children and women.
Drissa earned a PhD from the University of Nebraska, an MD from the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry of Mali, and an MPH degree from the George Washington University, School of Public Health.
